Reaching the world for Jesus Christ through music.

Who We Are...

The CONTINENTALS were formed in 1967 as a non-profit, inter-denominational ministry. Powerful music and the message of Jesus Christ are the foundation of CONTINENTAL MINISTRIES. From the great cathedrals of Europe to the smallest believers' gatherings in Thailand, we reach out to the hearts of people . . . seeking to meet their needs spiritually, emotionally and physically.

The purpose of our ministry is to build each tour member personally and spiritually, to develop a missionary heart, taking every opportunity to proclaim the gospel of Christ throughout our musical programs as well as one-on-one, and to encourage all believers along the way to a deeper and more meaningful commitment to Christ.

History...

Beginning with one tour in 1967 by President and Founder Cam Floria, The CONTINENTALS have grown into CONTINENTAL "WORLD-WIDE" MINISTRIES including over 15,000 people and a phenomenal 1,500 concerts a year. We have performed in all 50 states and 76 countries. We have now established international groups in many different areas of the world including: South Africa, Brazil, Chile, France, Great Britain, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Scandinavia, and Singapore. These young people are being nurtured in their own countries to proclaim Christ in their own languages.

On Tour with CONTINENTAL MINISTRIES...

Currently, CONTINENTAL MINISTRIES is preparing for hands on ministry work. We will tour across North America and overseas into the heart of a desperate world as short-term missionaries presenting the musical message of God's love to all people.

Each group travels to a different region of North America. Most CONTINENTAL tours also spend 2-3 weeks on another continent such as Europe, Asia and South America. Since 1967, we have been invited to some 76 countries including the Peoples Republic of China and the former Soviet Union. We went in partnership with Campus Crusade for Christ taking the Jesus Film Project into India, Africa and South America. We also raised funds for thousands of hungry children in Africa and Brazil along side of World Vision International.

ON THE ROAD...

Every day you will travel to a new concert site and set up for the concert that you will perform that evening. On Sundays you will have the privilege of performing in morning and evening concerts. Wherever you are, you will become immersed in the life and culture of the churches and communities, both through joining your host family who has volunteered to feed and house you and through the rigorous schedule of daily concerts and ministry where you will give your all.

Rehearsal Camp...

Your tour begins with a short but intense training. You will be instructed by industry professionals in voice, instrumentation, choreography and dance. You will rehearse and study daily with your tour director and team leaders.

At camp you will be instructed and encouraged in an effective quiet time. This, along with the group Bible studies will keep you immersed in prayer and God's Word.

Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." (Mark 16:15, NIV)

What We Believe...

Statement of Belief - No Apologies

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and the final authority for Christian faith and living. God, the creator of all things, exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God's eternal son, truly God and truly man. He came to earth, lived a sinless life and was crucified as the only sacrifice for our sins, arose bodily from the dead and returned to heaven. Men and women were created in God's image, tempted by Satan and rebelled against God. Through repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ our sins are forgiven, we are reborn by the Holy Spirit and we become children of God. The church is the living body of Christ on earth; He is the head. Jesus Christ will return to earth to raise the dead, judge the world and establish His glorious kingdom.

Statement of non-discrimination

Acceptance and participation are the same for everyone without regard to race, color, national origin or sex.

Support & Finances...

CONTINENTAL MINISTRIES is a non-profit organization. Tour members are not paid, but rather sent out as short-term missionaries and are responsible for raising sponsorship for their specific position on tour. This money, combined with offerings taken at each concert and sales of recorded music and other products, covers the cost of touring.

Can I raise the money? Yes! Once you have been accepted, you will receive a wide variety of creative ideas on how to find potential sponsors and raise support. We have prepared a booklet which will show you how to prepare for fund raisers, write letters, call on and follow up with any potential sponsors.

How much time will I have to pay for my tour? You will be placed on a schedule for raising/paying and sending in your support. It is divided into monthly payments with the total amount due at the end of the schedule established for you. This schedule is critical in helping our ministry meet your tour's set up and ongoing expenses.

Please know that we have a staff member available to answer questions regarding your account, as well as offering support raising ideas. We want to do everything possible to help you get on tour and into the mission field.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5,6, NIV)

Is the money sent to CONTINENTAL MINISTRIES tax deductible? Any donation to CONTINENTAL MINISTRIES is tax deductible whether in the form of general gifts or specific tour sponsorship.

What if I am a Canadian citizen? We have welcomed Canadians joining CONTINENTAL MINISTRIES for many years. We now have an office in Canada and your sponsors can send support to that office and receive a Canadian tax-deductable receipt. Call the Canadian office for more details.

Can the money be returned if I decide not to go? Due to IRS regulations, contributions are not refundable in the event an individual does not go on tour. However, if you notify us prior to 90 days before rehearsal camp, contributions raised may be designated as part of your support for the following year, or may be transferred to another individual's tour account upon request. All support raised by an individual who drops off tour after the 90 day deadline will not be held or made transferrable, but will be used to fill the vacant position.

If the applicant is offered a position on tour and confirms a position, he/she accepts the responsibility of raising the full sponsorship amount according to the commitment agreed to.

Any member on tour who is unable to contribute to their tour due to physical, spiritual, musical, social or emotional difficulties may be dismissed from tour while at rehearsal camp or on the road. In that event, support raised will be applied toward expenses incurred by that tour. This also includes any member who leaves tour of his/her own volition.

How to Apply...

Each of the ministry groups are filled through an application/audition process. Simply complete the application materials and return them to our Talent Department as soon as possible. Also, make sure your recommendations are filled out as soon as possible: your application cannot be processed until we receive them. When all your information is received we will review your application and let you know if you have been accepted into our program. Upon receipt of an initial payment, we will send you your acceptance packet containing program details and information on raising support. Rehearsal materials will be sent as soon as they become available.

Please remember that all positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. It is important that you return your completed application right away.

Note: If you are selected for a tour that is traveling overseas, apply for a passport immediately. This process takes time.
